Sweat Debt 2026 T's & C's
Promoter
The Sweat Debt 2026 challenge (“the Challenge”) is organised and promoted by OP Athlete Supply (“OP Athlete”, “we”, “us”, “our”) in collaboration with KiloEaters and Gilnokie.
Challenge Period
- The challenge will run from 00:01 on Thursday, 08 January 2026 until 23:59 on Wednesday, 20 January 2026 (South African Standard Time).
- All qualifying activities must be completed and logged within this period.
Eligibility
The Challenge is open to individuals who:
- Successfully complete the required distance within the Challenge Period;
- Meet all qualification requirements outlined in Section 6.
The Challenge is open only to individuals who are 18 years or older at the date of participation. Participants under the age of 18 may only participate with the prior consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
Participation is open worldwide, but physical rewards (socks and any spot prizes) will only be shipped to postal addresses within the Republic of South Africa. Participants outside South Africa are welcome to take part but will not be eligible to receive physical rewards (only bragging rights and leaderboard recognition).
Participation is FREE. No purchase is required.
Challenge Structure
Participants must choose one of the following options:
- Runners: Complete 70 kilometres
- Walkers: Complete 45 kilometres
Distances may be completed on road, trail, or treadmill. All activities must be tracked
and recorded on Strava and logged with the following hashtags:
- #OPAthlete
- #SweatDebt
Prizes/Rewards
Participants who successfully complete the Challenge and meet all qualification requirements will receive:
- One FREE pair of limited-edition KiloEater x OP Athlete x Sweat Debt Gilnokie socks.
- Spot prizes and shoe giveaways may be awarded at OP Athlete’s discretion (these are not guaranteed and are subject to availability).
- Only one reward per person is permitted, regardless of the number of Strava accounts used or kilometres completed.
- Multiple entries from the same individual will be disqualified.
- Rewards will only be produced after participant activity data has been verified via Strava and successful completion of the challenge has been confirmed. Once verification is complete and production is finalised, qualifying participants will receive a unique email code allowing them to check out their free reward online. Rewards will be shipped to a valid South African delivery address provided at checkout.
Rewards are non-transferable, not exchangeable, and not redeemable for cash.
Winner Notification & Claim Process
Successful participants will be contacted via the WhatsApp group and/or the contact
details provided during sign-up within 21 days of the Campaign ending.
Participants must respond and confirm their delivery address within 7 days of
notification, failing which they will forfeit the reward with no further correspondence.
Finisher awards Rewards will only be produced after participant activity data has been verified via Strava and successful completion of the challenge has been confirmed. Once verification is complete and production is finalised, qualifying participants will receive a unique email code allowing them to check out their free reward online. Rewards will be shipped to a valid South African delivery address provided at checkout.
Qualification Requirements
To successfully qualify for the Challenge and any associated rewards, participants must comply with ALL of the following:
- Strava Club & Challenge Participation
- You must be a member of the official KiloEaters Strava Club for your activities to appear on the leaderboard.
Inside the club page, you must:
- Locate the Sweat Debt 2026 Club Challenge
- Tap “Join Challenge”
- If you do not join the challenge itself, your activities will not be counted, even if you are a member of the club.
Activity Visibility & Logging Rules:
- Strava only counts activities set to “Everyone” (Public) visibility.
- Activities tagged by another person do not count.
- Only your own recorded activities are eligible.
- The correct activity type (Run or Walk) must be selected.
Hashtag Requirement:
- Each qualifying activity must include the following hashtags in the activity description:
- #OPAthlete
- #SweatDebt
Failure to include these hashtags may result in disqualification.
If Your Activity Does Not Appear on the Leaderboard Check the following:
- Did I join the Strava club?
- Did I join the challenge within the club?
- Is my activity set to Public?
- Is the activity type correct (Run or Walk)?
- Did I include the required hashtags?
WhatsApp Group Requirement
Participants must join the official KiloEaters WhatsApp group to receive Campaign updates and important communications.
Failure to join the WhatsApp group may result in missed communications but does not, on its own, override other qualification requirements.
Disqualification
OP Athlete reserves the right to disqualify any participant who:
- Submits false or manipulated activity data.
- Fails to meet qualification requirements.
- Acts in a manner deemed dishonest, abusive, or contrary to the spirit of the Campaign.
All decisions made by OP Athlete are final.
Data Collection & Privacy
Data We Collect
By participating in the Campaign, you consent to the collection and processing of limited personal data, which may include:
- Name and contact details submitted via the sign-up form.
- Strava activity data necessary to verify completion.
- WhatsApp group participation details.
How We Use Your Data Your data is used solely for:
- Administering and managing the Campaign.
- Verifying eligibility and completion.
- Communicating Challenge updates.
- Distributing rewards.
- Future OP Athlete communication.
Data Sharing with Sponsors
To fulfill Challenge rewards and reporting requirements, participant information may be shared with Challenge sponsors, specifically Gilnokie, strictly for Campaign-related purposes. Gilnokie processes personal data in accordance with its own Privacy Policy.
Privacy Policies
All personal data is processed in accordance with:
Applicable South African data protection laws (including POPIA) By participating, you acknowledge and accept these policies.
Publicity
By participating, you grant OP Athlete, KiloEaters and Gilnokie the irrevocable right to use your name, Strava username, profile picture, activity data, photographs and likeness for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes (including on social media and leaderboards) without further compensation.
Limitation of Liability
Participation is at your own risk. OP Athlete, KiloEaters, Gilnokie, and any associated partners shall not be liable for:
- Injury, loss, or damage arising from participation.
- Technical issues with Strava, WhatsApp, or third-party platforms.
- Lost, delayed, or incomplete activity
data. - Participants are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit to participate.
Amendments
OP Athlete reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated via official Challenge channels.
Acceptance
By signing up for and participating in Sweat Debt 2026, you confirm that you have read,
understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising from or in connection with the Campaign shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
